Education Development Manager in the Centre for Innovation in Technologies and Education (CITE) at the University of Southampton.  Working across the University, bringing technology enhancements to course content.  Consultant for MOOC projects for pedagogy and design. I am the lead for CITE on Digital Literacies and I work very closely with Lisa Harris, running workshops and organising the Conference (Digital Literacies - MOOCS and the Online Learner 2013 and Digital Literacies Conference 2012) .  I am responsible for setting up and running Digital Champion network with Lisa Harris.  I am also the Chair of the Digital Literacies Special Interest Group.

Annual Campbell Lecture a great success

Annual Campbell Lecture 2014 – Save the Date!

The WiSET group are planning our biggest Campbell Lecture so far on Wednesday 19 March 2014. We have hopefully secured not one, but TWO inspirational speakers. First we have invited Dame Professor Athene Donald DBE FRS, Professor of Experimental Physics at University of Cambridge, Chair of the Royal Society's Education Committee, and long-time champion of women in science to address us. Congratulations to Professor Cathy Pope

WiSET are very pleased to be able to celebrate the inaugural lecture of Professor Cathy Pope on Friday 21st June.  Cathy gave an inspirational talk to a packed house of colleagues, family members, including a large WiSET cohort. Cathy has been a long time member of WiSET and is actively involved in the steering group.  She has been a Chair of the group and still finds time to help organise the very important Campbell Lecture, along with WiSET colleagues, Andrea Russell and Roxana Carare. WiSET steering group meets Gill Rider, Chair of Council

Members of WiSET steering group were delighted to meet with Dr Gill Rider OBE who was appointed to the University Council in 2012 this month. Council is the governing body of the University, responsible for the overall planning and management of the University and it derives its existence and authority from Article 11 of the University Charter.
