Annual WISET Awards: call for nominations
Nominations are now open for the annual WISET awards. These awards reward and recognise exceptional contributions of individuals across the university who have worked to raise the profile and participation of women in STEMM.

They are awarded to those who have made an outstanding contribution supporting women in academia, above and beyond the requirements of their formal role.

We know that there are many such champions throughout the university and we encourage you to make your nominations right now. Recipients of the WISET award receive a WISET award trophy and £250 presented at the prestigious WISET Annual Campbell Lecture, this year on Wednesday 22 March 2017.

It is widely accepted that women are under represented across the university in the STEMM disciplines at all levels in academic and managerial roles. The annual WISET awards were inaugurated in 2016 to recognise and reward exceptional contributions of individuals who have worked to raise the profile and participation of women in STEMM or in any way that constructively addresses gender disparity across the university.

The awards are open to all staff or students at the University of Southampton, irrespective of their gender, mode of study or nature of their employment.
