Winning women! WiSET and WiSET award winners feature in the University of Southampton’s newsletter.

Re:action is the University of Southampton’s bi-annual Research and Enterprise newsletter offering insight into public policy related research conducted at the University as well as public engagement and business activities.

“Winning Women” was this quarter’s theme and one of WiSET’s collages was proudly used as the front cover, highlighting the contributions made by women all over the university.

Dr Katrina Morgan, Chair of WiSET, explains what WiSET does and the achievements over the years. WiSET is very happy to see two of the 2018 WiSET award winners to also feature in the magazine.

Vice-President of Research and Enterprise, Professor Mark Spearing, welcomed the summer 2018 edition’s theme of winning women and WiSET: “We have chosen to highlight the diverse roles of women in research as a theme connecting the feature articles in this issue. Subjects range from women in contemporary film culture, through the Women in Science, Engineering and Technology (WiSET) awards to profiles of women in our Faculty of Natural and Environmental Sciences and Faculty of Business, Law and Art.”
